Ali Atwi

Ali Atwi is currently a Fiber Lasers Research Scientist at MPB Communications, where they focus on optimizing and experimentally evaluating fiber laser designs. They received a Master’s degree in Engineering Physics from McMaster University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Beirut. Previously, Ali worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Resco Gulf, supervising fire suppression design and collaborating on various engineering projects in Qatar, Lebanon, and Canada. Their past roles also include serving as a Research Assistant at both McMaster University and the American University of Beirut, where they contributed to innovative research in photonics and micro-fluidic transistors.
