Laurent Doré-Mathieu is currently an R&D laser scientist at MPB Communications Inc., where they lead a team in the development of pulsed fiber lasers for LiDAR applications. Previously, Laurent served as a chemical products officer and product/process specialist at ITF Technologies, managing teams and optimizing processes for fiber optical component manufacturing. They have contributed to various projects in both research and teaching, including a medical physics internship where they developed a quality assurance program. Laurent holds a Master of Applied Science in Engineering Physics from École Polytechnique de Montréal and has a strong foundation in engineering physics and biomedical engineering.
