Catherine Whitley is an experienced marine conservation professional currently serving as a Senior Consultant and Fisheries Consultant at MRAG Ltd since January 2021. Previously, Catherine completed an MSc Project Placement at the Isles of Scilly IFCA, where a review of crawfish populations was conducted to inform management recommendations. Catherine's background includes serving as a Research Assistant for Planeta Oceano, focusing on giant manta ray conservation and collaboration on a bycatch mitigation workshop in South America, as well as coordinating UK projects for the Blue Marine Foundation through literature reviews and stakeholder engagement. Catherine also has experience interning at Fauna & Flora International and volunteering with Love The Oceans. Catherine holds an MSc in Marine Conservation from the University of Plymouth and a BSc in Marine Biology from Newcastle University.
