Ami Patel, PhD, RBP, is a seasoned expert in biosafety and program management, currently serving as a Senior Safety BioSafety Surety Officer at MRIGlobal since November 2021. With extensive experience in overseeing biosafety, biosecurity, and risk management for emerging technologies, Ami has successfully implemented compliance policies and conducted safety training. Prior to MRIGlobal, Ami held various roles at the Maryland Department of Health Laboratories Administration, including PHLS Manager and Biosafety Officer, where significant contributions to molecular testing and public health initiatives were made. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Plant Pathology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, along with multiple degrees and certifications in microbiology and regulatory affairs.
