Umer Farooq

Umer Farooq has a diverse work experience spanning from entrepreneurial ventures to educational institutions. Umer is currently the Chief Technology Officer at MRS Technologies, where they provide products and services for various industries. Prior to this, Umer held the same position at MTronic Pakistan, a company specializing in home automation systems. Umer also served as the Chief Technology Officer at Technology Spirits, where they developed a hardware solution for SMART cameras. Additionally, Umer co-founded RoboMinors, an initiative to introduce robotics-based STEM education in Pakistan. Umer started their career as a professional photographer before transitioning into the technology field. Umer has held positions such as Teacher Assistant at C.A.S.E. and Senior Design Engineer at Center for Advanced Research in Engineering (CARE). Umer also served as the Public Relations Manager for National Robosprint, an annual robotics competition. Umer has a background in embedded systems and holds the position of Co-Founder and Embedded Solution Developer at RoboTech Engineering (Pvt) Ltd. Umer has also worked as an instructor at EME College, NUST.

Umer Farooq obtained a Masters degree in Robotics and Intelligent Machine Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed their BSc in Electrical Engineering with Specialization in Computers from C.A.S.E from 2008 to 2012. Umer pursued Pre Engineering at Islamabad Model College for Boys I-10/1, Islamabad from 2006 to 2008 and completed their Matriculation in Mathematics from the same institution from 2004 to 2006. In terms of additional certifications, Umer Farooq has obtained various certifications from institutions such as LinkedIn, Instructing.com, LLC, and Coursera.
