Peter Newby

Peter Newby began their work experience as a Nuclear Engineer at MS Technology, Inc. in 1998. Peter performed neutronic analyses, startup physics testing, and incore signal processing. Peter also prepared test specifications, performed refueling criticality monitoring, and generated operating guidelines.

In 2002, Peter became a Project Manager - Fuel Contracts at Framatome, where they managed fuel projects for nuclear power plants in the U.S. and provided engineering services and core monitoring software. Peter then moved on to become an Engineering Supervisor in 2004 and a Project Manager - Fuel Cycle in 2007, where they focused on MOX fuel fabrication and nuclear fuel recycling/reprocessing.

From 2009 to 2011, Peter worked as a Project Manager for the MOX fuel project at the U.S. DOE Savannah River Site.

In 2011, they became Vice President, Nuclear Fuel at Framatome, overseeing nuclear fuel contracts and services.

Finally, in 2023, Peter Newby became the President of MS Technology, Inc., an engineering and technology firm based in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, supporting U.S. initiatives.

Peter Newby holds a Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, which they obtained from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1994. Peter further pursued their education at the same institution, completing a Masters of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering in 1997. Additionally, Peter Newby obtained a Masters degree in Business Administration from Averett University in 2002.
