Ben Chen

Ben Chen has 30 years of experience in traffic engineering, providing public sector clients with traffic data analysis and management software applications. He authored the original version of the Traffic Count Database System (TCDS) in 1997 and founded MS2 in 2003. Ben oversees more than 270 implementations of MS2 software, and successfully adopted new transportation engineering methodologies and modern technologies for all 23 of MS2’s state DOT clients. Ben holds a Master of Science in civil engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology and is a licensed Professional Engineer and Professional Traffic Operations Engineer. Ben is one of the traffic data industry’s leading experts, and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE).
