Daniel Spooner

Daniel Spooner is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in analytical engineering and risk management. Currently serving as Executive Director of Analytical Engineering at MSCI Inc. since May 2015, Daniel leads the Beon Core team, focusing on a programmatic data platform that enables users to create and share analytics and custom workflows. Previously, Daniel held the position of Director of Equity Risk Technology at Merrill Lynch, where efforts were directed towards developing a risk and P&L management application. Additional roles include Associate at UBS, where performance improvements were made in equities risk applications, and Professional Services Consultant at CA, integrating eHealth management applications. Daniel began a career in academia as a Research Scientist and Lecturer at the University of Warwick, holding a PhD in Computer Science and a BEng in Computer Systems Engineering from the same institution.
