Steve Johnson

Steve Johnson is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in the finance sector. Currently serving as Managing Director and Head of Analytics Engineering at MSCI Inc. since November 2025, Steve is responsible for engineering strategy and execution for key Analytics products. Prior to this role, Steve held various leadership positions at Millennium from 2018 to 2025, including Head of LEaD, which focuses on developing early-career software engineers, and Head of Risk Technology. Steve began their career in technology at Citadel, where roles spanned from Director of Front Office Technology to managing pivotal risk initiatives. Additional contributions include leadership positions at RiskMetrics Group and Alexis Communications Inc. Steve holds a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Oklahoma and has pursued graduate studies in Philosophy and Computational Finance.
