Brad Young

Brad Young is the Group General Manager Finance and Chief Financial Officer at the Ministry of Social Development, where they have been since 2023, following a secondment in 2022. They have extensive experience in public sector financial management, having previously held leadership roles at the Ministry of Health New Zealand, where they managed large teams and complex operations involving billions in expenditures. Brad's career began at EY as a Senior Accountant, and they later became an Audit Manager at Audit New Zealand, focusing on public sector entities. They hold a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Marketing from the University of Otago.
