Emma King

Policy Manager, International, Disability and Generational Policy Group

Emma King is a Policy Manager at the Ministry of Social Development, where they focus on international, disability, and generational policy. Previously, they held roles such as Principal Policy Analyst and Senior Policy Officer, and served as a Private Secretary in foreign affairs for the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade. Emma was also a First Secretary and Second Secretary for Trade and Economic at the New Zealand High Commission. Their experience includes serving as a Board Trustee for the New Horizons for Women Trust and providing research and advice in the Office of the Leader of the Opposition in New Zealand Parliament. Emma holds a Bachelor of Laws from Victoria University of Wellington and a First Class Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Otago.
