Miriam Mathews has a diverse background in policy analysis and consultation, with experience in various government and private sector roles. Miriam holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Music Studies, a Bachelor of Music Honours, and a Masters of Business Administration. Currently, Miriam serves as the Acting Policy Manager at Ministry of Social Development. Prior to this, Miriam was the Senior Policy Analyst for Older Peoples Policy. Miriam also co-founded Pneuma Coffee New Zealand and has worked in senior policy advisory positions in organizations such as Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, KBC-Elevate Limited, and New Zealand Parliament.
