Gianmarco Meier

Gianmarco Meier is a Senior Scientist at MSD Switzerland since December 2022, with prior experience as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist and PhD Student at the University of Zurich from July 2015 to December 2022. During this time, Gianmarco developed innovative technologies for the structural and functional characterization of ABC transporters and established deep mutational scanning for multidrug transport. Additionally, Gianmarco engineered nanobodies for the structural investigation of membrane proteins and created specialized software solutions for biological data processing using Python. Earlier roles included working as a Wissenschaftlicher Assistent, focusing on the cloning, expression, purification, and characterization of GPCRs for LCP-crystallization. Gianmarco earned a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Zurich in July 2021 and a Master's degree in Biochemistry from the same institution in 2015.
