Stephanie Moessner

Director Small Molecule Analytical Research & Development at MSD Switzerland

Stephanie Moessner PhD has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Stephanie started their career at NIST as a Post Doc from June 1996 to April 1998. Stephanie then joined ETH Zurich as a Research Position from May 1998 to June 1999. In 1999, they moved to Schering-Plough Research Institute and worked as a Manager in the Stability Lab from July 1999 to July 2004. From July 2004 to July 2010, they served as an Associate Director at the same institute. In August 2010, they joined MSD Switzerland as the Director of ACDS MMD and held the position until July 2018. From July 2018 to September 2021, they served as the Director of PharmSci MRL at MSD Switzerland. Currently, they are the Director of Small Molecule Analytical Research & Development at MSD Switzerland, a role they have held since October 2021.

Stephanie Moessner holds a PhD in Chemistry from Ulm University, which they obtained from 1985 to 1995. Prior to that, they completed their Abitur degree at Albert Einstein Gymnasium Ulm from 1978 to 1985. In addition to their formal education, Stephanie has obtained additional certifications, including an Advanced Management Program from SMP Management Program St. Gallen and Bioprocessing Operations Training from NIBRT National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training.
