Motorcycle Safety Foundation
Fred Thomas has extensive experience in the healthcare and emergency services fields, serving as a Registered Nurse at Holzer Health System since October 2007. In addition, Fred has been involved with the Motorcycle Safety Foundation, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, and Athens Sport Cycles Inc., where roles include Course Instructor and Riding Academy Instructor since 2006. Fred also holds a position as Flight Nurse with Healthnet Aeromedical Services, with previous leadership as Chief Flight Nurse from 2000 to 2004. Additionally, Fred has served as a CCT Nurse/Paramedic with the Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority and as a Paramedic with Meigs County Emergency Medical Services since 1998 and 1993, respectively. Educational qualifications include an Associate's degree in Registered Nursing from Hocking College and a Certificate in Emergency Medical Technology from SEOEMS.

The Motorcycle Safety Foundation® is the internationally recognized developer of the comprehensive, research-based, Rider Education and Training System (MSF RETS). RETS curricula promotes lifelong-learning for motorcyclists and continuous professional development for certified RiderCoaches and other trainers. MSF also actively participates in government relations, safety research, public awareness campaigns and the provision of technical assistance to state training and licensing programs. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation is a national, not-for-profit organization sponsored by BMW, BRP, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Piaggio, Suzuki, Triumph, Victory and Yamaha.
