Harry Hakenson

Instructor Rider Coach at Motorcycle Safety Foundation

Harry Hakenson is an experienced National Account Project Coordinator currently at Gardiner Service Company, a position held since 2004. Alongside this role, Harry serves as an instructor at Total Control Advanced Riding Clinic, specializing in advanced motorcycle riding technologies and strategies since 2009. With a long-standing commitment to motorcycle safety, Harry has been a Motorcycle Instructor and Rider Coach since 1996 at Polaris Career Center and the Motorcycle Safety Foundation, teaching various rider courses. Previous experience includes project management in HVAC equipment and controls at Trane from 2004 to 2017, and motorcycle instruction at State 8 Motorcycles from 2008 to 2016. Harry holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from TRI-C and the University of Cincinnati.

The Motorcycle Safety Foundation® is the internationally recognized developer of the comprehensive, research-based, Rider Education and Training System (MSF RETS). RETS curricula promotes lifelong-learning for motorcyclists and continuous professional development for certified RiderCoaches and other trainers. MSF also actively participates in government relations, safety research, public awareness campaigns and the provision of technical assistance to state training and licensing programs. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation is a national, not-for-profit organization sponsored by BMW, BRP, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Piaggio, Suzuki, Triumph, Victory and Yamaha.
