Rob Houghtlin has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Rob currently holds the position of Vice President Local Sales at Mspark since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the VP Client Solutions and Sales at ASLAN Training and Development from September 2021 to March 2022.

Before their role at ASLAN, Rob worked at Valassis starting in May 2012, first as the Vice President - Consumer Package Goods, responsible for sales and retail activations. Then, they became the Head of Sales, CPG in January 2020, leading a team of 80 associates and developing sales and marketing strategies for major CPG clients. During their tenure at Valassis, Rob focused on leveraging data science and omni-channel solutions to drive brand awareness and consumer activation.

Rob also had prior experience at Hearst Magazines, where they served as the Executive Director Automotive Sales for the Hearst Men's Group from February to May 2012. Before that, they held the role of Publisher and Chief Revenue Officer at Hearst Magazines, Car and Driver, Road & Track, and Jumpstart Automotive Group from January 2007 to April 2012.

Earlier in their career, Rob worked as an Associate Publisher at Car and Driver from October 2004 to December 2007 and as the Director of Corporate Sales at Hachette Filipacchi Media from April 2004 to December 2007. Rob started their career as a Sales Director at Car and Driver/Road & Track from February 2001 to April 2004.

Throughout their career, Rob has demonstrated expertise in sales and marketing, driving revenue growth, and developing customized strategies for automotive and consumer package goods industries.

Rob Houghtlin attended the University of Iowa where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Additionally, they obtained a certification in "The Six Morning Habits of High Performers" from LinkedIn in August 2020.
