Lauren Powell currently serves as an Associate Medical Writer at Mtech Access since September 2023. Previously, Lauren completed a PhD in Pancreatic Cancer Research at the University of Birmingham, focusing on Protein Disulfide Isomerase Inhibition as a therapeutic strategy against pancreatic cancer. During this period, Lauren also held a position as Senior Research Technician, conducting a project on estrogen metabolism in colorectal cancer. Lauren's academic background includes an MSci in Biological Sciences from the Royal Veterinary College, where significant research projects involved canine mammary tumor behavior and malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor cell migration. Additional experiences include internships and research placements, further strengthening expertise in cancer biology and pharmacology.
