Dawn Sim has a diverse work experience in the field of ophthalmology and clinical informatics. Dawn currently holds the position of Lead Medical Director, Product Development, Ophthalmology at Genentech since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London for several roles including Honorary Consultant Ophthalmologist, Director of Telemedicine, Consultant Ophthalmologist, and Medical Retina Fellow from 2014 to April 2022. Additionally, they are a Fellow at the Faculty of Clinical Informatics since February 2022. Dawn Sim also co-founded MTHK in January 2021. At UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, they served as an Associate Professor and Program Director for PGcert in Telemedicine from 2020 to April 2022. Dawn was the National Clinical Lead for the home care, remote monitoring work stream at NHSX from January 2021 to April 2022. Dawn also held roles at The Royal College of Ophthalmologists as a Council and Scientific committee Member from 2018 to April 2022. Prior to these positions, they worked as a Clinical Research Fellow at Joslin Diabetes Center in 2014 and as a PhD Research Fellow and Specialist Registrar at Moorfields Eye Hospital & Institute of Ophthalmology, UCL from 2008 to 2014.
Dawn Sim completed their education chronologically as follows:
