Calvin White

Calvin White is a Principal Metallurgist at Medora Metallurgical Consulting LLC, specializing in metallurgical failure analysis, process development, corrosion, and welding since March 2014. As a Professor Emeritus/Research Professor at Michigan Technological University since 1986, Calvin White has developed and supervised externally funded research on metals and alloys, while also teaching on the mechanical behavior and environmental effects on metals. Previous roles include Visiting Professor at NTNU, focusing on metallurgical failures, and Research Staff Member at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, conducting materials research on interfacial properties. Calvin White earned a PhD in Metallurgical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, an MS in Metallurgy & Materials Science from the University of Minnesota, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
