Christopher Plummer is a seasoned professional in sound design and composition, currently serving as a Professor of Sound Design and previously as an Associate Professor at Michigan Technological University since January 2002. Additionally, Christopher has worked as a freelance composer and sound designer since 1997. Between June 2017 and June 2021, Christopher held the position of Co-Chair for Design, Technology & Management in Region 3 at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, and served as Sound Commissioner for USITT from 2016 to 2018. Academic experience includes a Graduate Assistant role at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 1998 to 2002 and a Department Computing Coordinator position at Cornell University from 1996 to 1999. Christopher earned an M.F.A. in Theatre from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BA in English Literature and Secondary Education from Nazareth University.
