Darrell Robinette is an accomplished academic and engineer with extensive experience in powertrain systems and mechanical engineering. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Michigan Technological University since July 2016, Darrell focuses on research areas including powertrain systems engineering, automatic transmissions, hybrid and electric vehicle drive units, and NVH dynamics. Prior to this role, Darrell worked at General Motors from August 2007 to July 2016 in various capacities, including Hybrid & Electric Energy Systems Engineer and Transmission Calibration Engineer, contributing to the development and analysis of advanced transmission systems and hybrid vehicle technology. Darrell holds a Ph.D. and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, where research began as a Graduate Research Assistant.
