Hoda Hatoum

Hoda Hatoum, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at Michigan Technological University, leading research in the Biofluids Lab since August 2020. Currently serving as an Associate Editor for the Annals of Biomedical Engineering, Hoda previously held postdoctoral researcher positions at the Georgia Institute of Technology and The Ohio State University, focusing on cardiovascular biofluid mechanics. Hoda obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University and completed two postdoctoral fellowships in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at the same institution and Georgia Institute of Technology. Hoda's early experience includes roles as a graduate student and research assistant at Colorado State University and as a mechanical engineer at Dar Consultants, specializing in the design of HVAC systems and water management infrastructure. Hoda earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Beirut.
