Ian Repp has a diverse work experience spanning over 16 years. Ian began their career as a Writer's Assistant at Sony Pictures Entertainment in 2004 before transitioning to a Media Content Specialist at Ball State University - Electronic Field Trips in 2005. In 2007, they joined MediaSauce as a Creative Lead/Designer, where they worked until 2008. Ian then became the Manager of Creative Media at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis until 2010, when they returned to MediaSauce as a Creative Director for two years. Ian then worked as a Creative Director at Magnitude, LLC from 2012 to 2014 before joining Michigan Technological University as the Director of Marketing and Communications. In 2018, Ian Repp was promoted to Associate Vice President for University Marketing and Communications at Michigan Technological University.

Ian Repp earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Strategic Communications from Washington State University from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they attended Ball State University from 2001 to 2004, where they studied Telecommunications and History. Ian also completed the UCLA Professional Program of Screenwriting from 2004 to 2005.
