Libia Hazra currently serves as a Write-D Facilitator at the Department of Civil, Environmental & Geospatial Engineering at Michigan Technological University since August 2024. In addition, Libia has been a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Michigan Technological University since January 2022. A short-term visiting student at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in August 2024, Libia conducted a community survey focused on fish health and environmental issues in West Bengal. Previous experience includes a research internship at the Salim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Natural History in late 2021 and a lecturing position at Durgapur Women's College from September 2018 to September 2021. Early career experience includes working as an Event Administrative Assistant at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in 2015. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Environmental Engineering (in progress) from Michigan Technological University, an M.Sc. in Environmental Science from GITAM Deemed University, and a B.Sc. in Physics from Hooghly Women's College.
