Ruth Archer

Ruth Archer serves as the Director of Continuous Improvement at Michigan Technological University, employing Lean methodologies to enhance organizational effectiveness and foster continuous development through tailored training and workshops. In addition to this role, Ruth teaches various courses related to continuous improvement, leadership, and engineering at the university and previously served as the Director of Graduate Business Programs overseeing MBA student recruitment and advising. Ruth's experience also includes a principal role at the Superior Leadership Institute, providing training in Lean principles and leadership development. Prior to these positions, Ruth was an instructor at Finlandia University and held various academic roles at Michigan Technological University, alongside a distinguished career in the United States Air Force as an Electrical Engineer. Ruth holds a PhD in Business Administration with a focus on Industrial/Organizational Psychology, an MBA, and a BSEE in Electrical Engineering.
