Sarah Dowd

Sarah Dowd, EdD, LPC, CMPC®, currently serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Counseling and Sport Psychology at Michigan Technological University, where responsibilities also include the role of Senior Women Administrator for Michigan Tech Athletics. In July 2024, Sarah will take on the position of Director of Student Athlete Wellness and Clinical Counselor at Elite Performance Psychology. Sarah is a Licensed Professional Counselor with credentials from Michigan Department of LARA and Ohio CSWMFT, and has been active as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor with the National Council for Mental Wellbeing since September 2019. Prior experience includes roles as a Sales Associate at DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse and a Graduate Assistant at Youngstown State University, where Sarah also played Division I Softball. Educationally, Sarah holds a Doctor of Education in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Western States and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Youngstown State University, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the same institution.
