Sierra Williams is an experienced outreach coordinator at Michigan Technological University, currently serving the College of Forest Resources and Environmental Science and the Center for Educational Outreach, since November 2023. Prior to this role, Sierra worked as an outdoor science instructor at OMSI from May 2023 to November 2023 and as a teaching assistant for an undergraduate Intro to GIS class at Michigan Technological University from August 2019 to May 2023. Earlier positions included student research assistant in hydrology, assistant desk coordinator for residential education and housing services, and student coordinator for the Center for Educational Outreach. Sierra gained relevant experience as a natural resources student trainee with the US Army Corps of Engineers during the summer of 2021. Sierra holds a Master’s degree in Geographic Information Science from Michigan Technological University (2023) and an undergraduate degree in Applied Ecology and Environmental Science, specializing in Plant Ecology and Wetlands from the same institution (2022). Prior education includes graduating from John Glenn High School in 2018.
