Thomas Daunais is an accomplished engineer and entrepreneur with extensive experience in microfabrication and nanotechnology. As the Founder and Lead Process Engineer at Hawk Semiconductor LLC since July 2018, Thomas has overseen the fabrication of over 4000 wafers featuring nearly 150 custom designs, focusing on delivering high-quality services at competitive prices. Additionally, Thomas serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Michigan Technological University and previously held the position of Founder and CTO at Upland Nanotech, where leadership in research and development led to the transition of laboratory prototypes into manufacturable products. Earlier roles include Engineer II at the Lurie Nanofabrication Facility, where significant contributions were made in microdevice design and fabrication, as well as a consultancy role. Thomas Daunais earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 2013.
