Wayne Weaver

Wayne Weaver currently serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronics Systems since March 2022. At Michigan Technological University, Wayne Weaver holds multiple positions, including Associate Chair and Director of Graduate Studies in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Professor of Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics, Co-Director and Director of the Agile and Integrated Microgrid (AIM) Research Center, and previously the Dave House Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering and Assistant Professor. Prior experience includes working as a Research/Development Engineer at Caterpillar Inc. from October 1997 to January 2003 and as a Co-Op Project Engineer at Guardian Fiberglass Inc. from June 1992 to October 1997. Wayne Weaver earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Electronics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University.
