Chiara Marañón

Chiara Marañón has a diverse work experience in the film and media industry. Chiara began their career as a Culture Journalist at La Nueva España - Grupo Editorial Prensa Ibérica from 2002 to 2006. Chiara then worked as a Film Management and Programming Intern at CCCB - Xcèntric in 2006. In 2007, they joined MICEC - Mostra Internacional de Cinema Europeu Contemporani as a Film Management and Programming Assistant. Alongside this, they founded SUJETO A CAMBIO FILMS and worked as a Director / Editor from 2007 to 2012. Chiara joined MUBI in 2011 and held various roles, starting as a Content Manager and later becoming a Senior Content Manager & Acquisitions. From 2014 to 2015, they served as the General Manager and then became the Director of Programming from 2016 to 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Content at MUBI since January 2020.

Chiara Marañón's education history includes a BA in Audiovisual Communication from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, which they completed from 2002 to 2006. In 2004 to 2005, they studied Film Studies at Università degli studi Roma TRE. Chiara then pursued an MA in Screenwriting at EICTV, Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV de San Antonio de los Baños, from 2007 to 2010. Finally, they obtained an MA in Directing Film and TV from the University of Westminster in 2011 to 2012.
