Emily Wright

Emily Wright is a seasoned programming manager in the film industry, currently serving as the Global Programming Manager and previously as the Global Programming Coordinator and Programming Assistant at MUBI since May 2022. Emily's earlier experience includes roles such as Programme Advisor for the Open City Documentary Festival and Programmer on the Selection Committee for Porto/Post/Doc, where contributions included shaping curatorial agendas and showcasing innovative documentary films. Emily has curated film showcases, worked with the British Film Institute during the London Film Festival, and reported on social issues as a multimedia journalist. Emily holds a Master’s degree in Film Studies with a focus on Programming and Curation from the National Film and Television School and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Italian Literature from the University of Warwick.
