Jason Ropell has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jason started their career as a Lawyer at Jason Ropell ESQ from 2002 to 2005. Following this, they worked as a Legal Counsel at Corus Entertainment from 2005 to 2007. Jason then joined NBCUniversal, Inc. and held various roles including Executive Director of Business & Legal Affairs and Vice President of Business Development from 2007 to 2011. In 2011, they joined Netflix as Vice President, Content, overseeing content acquisition and strategy for North America and Latin America. Jason then joined Amazon in 2012 and served as Head of International Content for Prime Video until 2015. From 2015 to 2018, they held the position of Vice President and Worldwide Head of Motion Pictures at Amazon Studios and Prime Video. In 2019, Jason worked as a Strategic Advisor at Airbnb for a year before joining MUBI in 2020 as Chief Content Officer.

Jason Ropell earned an LL.B. degree in Law from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School from 1996 to 1998. Prior to that, they obtained a Hons B.A. degree in History and Political Science from the University of Toronto - University of Trinity College between 1991 and 1995.
