The Mucha Foundation was founded in 1992 by the artist Alphonse Mucha’s grandson, John Mucha, and the artist’s daughter-in-law, Geraldine Thomsen Mucha. The Mucha Foundation protects and preserves the Mucha Family Collection, the largest and most comprehensive collection of Mucha’s works worldwide, and promotes Alphonse Mucha’s artistic heritage.

Over the years, the Mucha Foundation has held more than 90 exhibitions across the world, at which more than 6,500,000 visitors have become acquainted not only with the work of Alphonse Mucha, but also with Czech culture. Last year, it opened its very own Mucha Foundation Art Museum in Prague's Na Příkopě Street. The Mucha Foundation is internationally recognized as the authority on the life and work of Alphonse Mucha. The Mucha Foundation’s President is John Mucha, its Executive Director is the artist’s great-grandson, Marcus Mucha. 

Nadaci Mucha založili v roce 1992 vnuk malíře Alfonse Muchy John Mucha a Muchova snacha Geraldine Thomsen Muchová. Nadace chrání a uchovává Muchovu rodinnou sbírku, největší a nejobsáhlejší kolekci Muchových děl na světě, a propaguje umělecké dědictví Alfonse Muchy.

V průběhu let uspořádala více než 90 výstav po celém světě, na nichž se více než 6 500 000 návštěvníků seznámilo nejen s dílem Alfonse Muchy, ale také s českou kulturou. Minulý rok otevřela své vlastní Mucha Foundation Art Museum v ulici Na Příkopě v centru Prahy. Nadace Mucha je mezinárodně uznávanou autoritou v oblasti života a díla Alfonse Muchy. Prezidentem nadace je John Mucha, jejím výkonným ředitelem je umělcův pravnuk Marcus Mucha.
