Peter Mertens

Peter Mertens currently serves as VP, Chief of Staff at Muck Rack, beginning in January 2025. Prior to this role, Peter was with Sprout Social, Inc. from January 2017 to January 2025, where responsibilities included directing corporate development with a focus on M&A, strategic partnerships, product investments, and international growth. Previous positions at Sprout encompassed directing market strategy, managing competitive intelligence, pricing and packaging optimization, and analyst relations. Peter's early career at Burson-Marsteller included various roles culminating as Senior Associate, where expertise in account supervision was developed. Peter holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Psychology from Boston College, earned in 2012.
