Peter Drew has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Peter began their career as the owner of Ideal Databases, a software development business. From there, they worked as a developer/consultant at Firststrike Solutions, where they developed small to medium-sized software applications. Peter then moved on to Castle Personnel Solutions, where they took on the exciting opportunity of leading a large project called GEMMA, which involved managing all aspects of the operation of Disability Employment Agencies.
Following this, Peter worked as an IT Manager at Kip McGrath Education Centres, overseeing the development of education software and managing the organization's IT infrastructure. Peter then joined CIBIS International Pty Limited as a Solution Developer, working on various projects for different clients and providing them with appropriate software solutions.
In 2016, Peter joined BMT Tax Depreciation Quantity Surveyors as a Senior Software Developer, where they led a team in acquiring a real estate sales website and made significant improvements to the site, transitioning the front end to Angular and adding new features.
Continuing their career progression, Peter became a Tech Lead at Liftango in 2019, where they expanded their tech skills by learning Java, React Native, and Python. Peter then moved on to definiti as an Application Development Lead, providing support for legacy apps and utilizing various technologies such as C#, VB6, ASP.NET, and ASP Classic.
Currently, Peter is employed as a Principal Engineer at Mudbath Digital, where they oversee projects, collaborates with designers and business analysts, and interacts with clients. Peter is responsible for creating estimates, running scrum meetings, and writing code, working with a range of technologies. Throughout their career, Peter has consistently shown a passion for continuously expanding their tech skills and delivering innovative solutions for clients.
Peter Drew attended the University of New England in Australia from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a BA degree in History and Archaeology. Following this, they enrolled at TAFE NSW from 1999 to 2000, completing a Diploma of IT (Business Systems) with a focus on 4GL Database Programming and Network Support.
