Sharon Yapp

Sharon Yapp is a highly experienced professional in product management and marketing. Sharon began their career in 2001 at Vianeta Communications as a Sales Account Manager, where they were responsible for closing deals and providing recommendations on brand positioning and product strategies. In 2003, they joined Oracle Corporation as a Customer Analyst and later became a Business Development Consultant, developing sales opportunities and contributing to a $10.3 billion acquisition strategy. Sharon then moved to Intel Corporation in 2005 as an MBA Marketing Intern, where they created partner alliance strategies and analyzed product categories for launch. In 2006, they became a Marketing Analyst at Intel, focusing on the growth of the laptop category in emerging markets. Sharon'sresponsibilities included coordinating product launches and collaborating with internal stakeholders. In 2007, Sharon joined MySpace as a Senior Product Manager, leading initiatives for core experiences and driving successful partnerships, such as the MySpace/Twitter sync integration. From 2010 to 2013, they worked as the Director of Product Management at Trip.com by Gogobot, leading product management on go-to-market launches and driving growth for the company's website and mobile apps. From 2013 to 2015, they served as the Senior Director of Product Management at Zinio, where they led mobile, desktop, and platform products. Sharon then became the Director of Product Management (Mobile) at Care.com in 2015, before moving to Trucker Path as the Director of Product Management from 2015 to 2016. Most recently, Sharon co-founded Mudflap in 2017 and served as the Head of Product for the company.

Sharon Yapp obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science & Rhetoric, with a double major, from the University of California, Berkeley. Sharon attended this institution from 1996 to 2000.

Additionally, Sharon Yapp pursued further education at the USC Marshall School of Business, where they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in Marketing & Strategy. Sharon was enrolled in this program from 2004 to 2006.
