John Balai

John Balai is an experienced internal auditor currently serving as the Acting Director of the EMEA internal audit team at MUFG since September 2022, focusing on Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Treasury, Information Data Management, and ESG. Prior to this role, John held various positions at J.P. Morgan from October 2006 to September 2022, including Internal Auditor VP, where responsibilities included overseeing Finance and Liquidity audits, and other roles such as Business Manager AVP and Product Controller. Earlier in John’s career, a role as Bid Writer/Business Development was held at Lifeline Community Projects Charity from June 2005 to September 2006. John earned a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Essex between 2002 and 2005.
