Joichi Ito

Joichi Ito is the President of the Chiba Institute of Technology and has co-founded Digital Garage and the Neurodiversity School in Tokyo. With a PhD in Media and Governance from Keio University, Ito has over 30 years of experience in various leadership, advisory, and entrepreneurial roles, focusing on innovation in web3, blockchain, AI, and social impact. They previously served as the Director of the MIT Media Lab and the Chief Executive of Creative Commons, and hold board positions with several organizations, including The New York Times and Sony. Ito is committed to leveraging technology to address global challenges and enhance human well-being.
