Mark Thumser

Mark Thumser is a highly experienced financial executive currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer of MUFG Americas since January 2012. With a strong background in corporate strategy, Mark has been instrumental in formulating business turnaround plans and leading significant mergers and acquisitions, including the $8 billion sale of Union Bank. Prior roles at MUFG include Chief Strategy Officer and Managing Director of Strategy & Business Operations within Corporate and Investment Banking. Mark's career began at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where Mark held various managerial positions that contributed to the establishment of the Global Corporate Bank. Mark also has experience as a management consultant and holds a J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and a B.S. from the University of Notre Dame.
