Michael Hobby

Michael Hobby is a Managing Director and currently heads Leveraged Capital Markets for APAC at MUFG. They previously held the position of Managing Director and Co-Head of APAC Syndicated & Leveraged Finance at Bank of America from 2011 to 2025. Michael’s earlier experience includes serving as Vice President of Leveraged Finance Origination at the Royal Bank of Scotland and as a Senior Associate in Transaction Services at KPMG. They began their career as a Senior Accountant in Assurance & Business Advisory at Ernst & Young. Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Adelaide and a Chartered Accountant designation from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
