Simon Steffen

Simon Steffen is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in leveraged capital markets and high yield debt capital markets. Currently serving as the Managing Director and Head of EMEA Leveraged Capital Markets at MUFG since 2024, Simon previously held the position of Managing Director and Head of High Yield Debt Capital Markets at Santander from 2023 to 2024. Prior to that, Simon was Managing Director and Head of Non-Investment Grade Origination at UniCredit from 2016 to 2023, and held several key roles at Barclays Capital, Dubai World, and Merrill Lynch throughout a career spanning over two decades. Simon has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute and holds degrees in Business Administration from the University of Cologne and HEC Paris, as well as a Master in International Management from CEMS.
