Muftah is a biannual digital magazine that probes key issues at the intersections of religion, culture, and politics.

Founded in May 2010, Muftah started with a simple mission: To produce original content from diverse individuals about global events that matter.

Until its hiatus in 2019, Muftah was a region-focused publication, producing content primarily on the Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia, and Eastern Europe. In May 2024, the magazine relaunched with a renewed vision as a platform for dialogue on the pertinent ideas that influence and impact those regions and the worlds beyond them.
