Rob Schmit

Rob Schmit has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Most recently, in 2023, they joined Mujin US as the Vice President. Prior to that, from 2019 to 2022, they worked at Material Handling Systems, Inc. as the Executive Vice President for Distribution & Fulfillment. In this role, they focused on harmonizing individual companies and creating a lean infrastructure. From 2017 to 2019, they served as the Executive Vice President for Technology & Innovation at SSI Schäfer, responsible for product management and implementing a stage gate process.

Before their tenure at SSI Schäfer, from 2012 to 2017, Rob worked at Jervis B. Webb Company, first as the Executive Vice President and then as the President. Rob oversaw various responsibilities, including the design and manufacturing of airport baggage handling systems and automatic guided vehicles.

From 2000 to 2012, Rob held the position of Vice President of Automation & Systems at SSI Schaefer Systems International Inc. Rob focused on expanding high-end technology companies in logistics and material handling, as well as providing design and consultancy services to optimize global supply chains.

Earlier in their career, Rob was the Vice President at WITRON Group, where they established the US operations and secured profitable new development deals. Rob also worked as a Project Manager at Witron Engineering and as an Engineer at Eta Adviesburo's. Overall, Rob Schmit has accumulated extensive experience in leadership, technology, automation, and logistics throughout their career.

Rob Schmit earned a Master's degree in Werktuigbouwkunde from Eindhoven University of Technology. In addition, they obtained a Procore Certified: Associate certification from Procore Technologies in May 2016.
