David Mayer

David Mayer has extensive work experience in various roles related to quality management, operations excellence, and lean transformation. David started their career at Armstrong World Industries, where they held positions such as Management Trainee, Lean Master Engineer, Lean Deployment Manager, Production Manager, and Lean Deployment Director. During their time at Armstrong, they focused on cultural transformation, continuous improvement, and policy deployment within the organization's facilities. Mayer then moved on to AMSURG, where they served as Senior Director of Kaizen Promotion and Vice President of Planning & Business Transformation, providing guidance and leadership in lean transformation initiatives across the company. Currently, Mayer is the Vice President of Quality, Graphics, and Operations Excellence at MCC Label, where they are responsible for product quality and continuous improvement for numerous plants.

David Mayer obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Wood Science and Wood Products with a minor in Business Administration from North Carolina State University, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. In addition to their degree, they have several certifications, including Lean Application in Healthcare from the University of Michigan in 2018, Lean Bronze Certification from SME in 2018, Lead Time Reduction and Logistics from Shingijutsu Global Consulting in 2015, Executive Leadership and Management from The University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business in 2014, Six-Sigma Black Belt Certification from Villanova University in 2012, Lean Certification - Program Leader from TBM Consulting Group in 2011, and Green Belt Certification from Armstrong World Industries in 2010.
