Mike Baker has a diverse work experience in the software and controls engineering field. Mike currently holds the position of Vice President Software at Multibeam Corporation, where they are responsible for guiding the software efforts for their new products. Prior to this, Mike worked at Kateeva as a Software Architect and Fellow, focusing on software architecture and improving software development processes. Mike also served as the VP of Software Engineering at Kateeva, leading the software team since 2011. Before Kateeva, Mike was the Director of Software/Controls Engineering at Solyndra, where they led teams in the development of software solutions for process control and automation. Additionally, Mike worked at Cimetrix, AIXTRON SE, Watkins Johnson Co., KLA Tencor, and TRW Technar in various software engineering roles, showcasing their proficiency in equipment automation and control software development.
Mike Baker earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz, from 1984 to 1988. Mike then pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at the same university from 1999 to 2004.
