Ying Chen

Ying Chen is an experienced geotechnical engineer with a strong background in both fieldwork and laboratory analysis. Currently serving as a Geotekniker at Multiconsult since August 2019, Ying has previously held similar roles at ÅF Norge and Subsea 7, where responsibilities included planning and coordinating geotechnical investigations, analyzing foundation solutions, and conducting stability analyses in challenging terrains. Ying completed a master thesis on bucket foundations for offshore wind turbines during a graduate position at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute and has also gained early experience through internships, including work on a cofferdam project and as a marketing assistant. Ying holds a Master of Science degree from Delft University of Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree from Chongqing Jiaotong University.
