Ryan Offord

Ryan Offord is the current Director of Data Engineering & Infrastructure at Multiverse. Ryan was previously with On the Beach from August 2019 to August 2022, where they served as Head of Data Engineering & Platform. In this role, they were responsible for building a Data Engineering function from scratch, as well as designing and building the data platform.

The data platform that Offord built consists of a GitLab based CI/CD pipeline for both Terraform and Python, Full Monitoring in New Relic (via CloudWatch) and uses Kinesis Firehose, Lambdas, S3, Glue, Step Functions, EMR, SNS, SQS, Athena, Airflow, MLFlow, Sagemaker. Ryan also built a Python toolkit which allows their release process to be fully test driven and abstract repeated code.

Offord has extensive experience in data engineering and architecture, and has liaised with every technical team across various businesses to achieve the platform that is needed. Ryan currently resides in the United Kingdom.

Ryan Offord's educational career began with a HND in Business Information Technology from Sheffield Hallam University. Ryan followed this up with a BTEC in Computer Studies from South Trafford College. Finally, they completed their schooling at Sale Boys Grammar School.

Their manager is Sachin Goyal, VP, Engineering. They are on a team with and Theo Leanse - Director of Engineering.
