Tom Powers

Tom Powers currently serves as the Government Relations - State and Regional Coordinator for Multnomah County, a position held since January 2024. Prior to this, Tom served as Chief of Staff for the Senate President's Office at the State of Oregon from December 2022 to December 2023 and held the role of Government Relations Manager at Washington County for a brief period in 2022. Tom’s extensive experience in government relations includes significant tenure as Caucus Administrator for the Senate Majority Office and as Executive Director for the Senate Democratic Leadership Fund, where achievements included expanding the Democratic majority in 2014. Additional roles include Communications Director for the Senate Majority Office, Redistricting Director for the Democratic Party of Oregon, Campaign Services Director for FuturePAC, and Legislative Director in the Oregon Legislature. Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Whitman College, earned in 2006.
