Brandon Bilfield

Brandon Bilfield has over 14 years of work experience in the field of front-end development and accessibility. Brandon started their career in 2006 as a Front End Developer at thunder::tech, where they planned and developed rich internet applications.

In 2008, Brandon joined Rosetta as a Senior Front End Developer, where they developed HTML/CSS solutions and Flash-based applications. Brandon also played a key role in defining implementation strategies for A/B and multivariate testing. Later, they became a Technology Manager, overseeing strategy ideation, user experience definition, and front-end development for new technology initiatives.

In 2012, Brandon joined AKQA as a Senior Front End Engineer, where they contributed to front end engineering on the Audi platform. Brandon worked closely with cross-functional teams and provided thought leadership and mentorship to incoming developers. Brandon later became a Technical Delivery Manager, responsible for the execution and delivery of the Audi USA platform.

Brandon joined LiveArea in 2017 as the Front End Development & Accessibility Lead. Brandon led all accessibility-related service offerings and development efforts, helping clients optimize their digital experiences for accessibility. Brandon managed the development of accessibility features, handled analysis and compliance issues, and developed internal accessibility training.

Most recently, Brandon is working at MURAL as a Staff Software Engineer and Technical Architect. Brandon specializes in design system and accessibility, utilizing their expertise to improve product accessibility.

Brandon Bilfield attended Syracuse University from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained both a B.A. in Computer Graphics and a B.S. in Information Management and Technology. Prior to attending Syracuse University, they attended Orange High School from 1998 to 2002. In August 2020, Brandon Bilfield obtained certification as a Triplebyte Certified Front End Engineer from Triplebyte.
